Words
Words. They can build us up and tear us down. They help us to communicate, learn, process and create. God’s words are the most powerful ever recorded. They are life changing, even life saving. The only way to reap the benefits is to read them. As followers of Jesus, we need to take it a few steps further. We also need to own them, to believe they are true, and to follow them as the ultimate guide for our lives. In this series, we will partner with you to follow the Bible Reading Plan. It’s a habit well worth forming. Our first stop will investigate five things the Bible offers that can dramatically change our lives
Week 1 Message- Truth
Date- January 20/21, 2018
Key Verse(s)- Psalms 18:2; Psalms 19:1
Speaker- Rusty Coram
According to the Guinness World Record, the Bible is the most printed and distributed book in history, at approximately five billion. While this is good, what’s even more important is the amount of truth within its pages that can impact our lives.
Week 2 Message- Strength
Date- January 27/28, 2018
Key Verse(s)- Psalms 23
Speaker- Rusty Coram
God doesn’t want us to merely survive, but to be active and strong as we face life head-on. The Bible shows us how to grow strong and to persevere with courage.
Week 3 Message- Direction
Date- February 3/4, 2018
Key Verse(s)- Psalms 27:11,13
Speaker- Rusty Coram
We are surrounded by a wide variety of options when it comes to direction in our life. The Bible is God’s manual to give us wise and clear direction, so that we don’t find ourselves lost and off track.
Week 4 Message- Correction
Date- February 10/11, 2018
Key Verse(s)- Psalms 32:2-7
Speaker- Rusty Coram
None of us have it all together. Even the wisest and most mature get out of line and need correction. The Bible shows us where we are wrong, and then how to get back on the right track.
Week 5 Message- Hope
Date- February 17/18, 2018
Key Verse(s)- Romans 8
Speaker- Rusty Coram
While our time on Earth might not always be easy, we have a great promise and a hope that cannot be taken from us.
